Desktop Devotional: Four

“The fear of man brings a snare: but whoso puts his trust in the Lord shall be safe”

Proverbs 29:25

In my devotion today I was reminded that the Lord wants us to pour all of our energy into trusting him. That’s how we stay connected and aware of the presence of the one who created us. Baby steps of trust can be simple, but we tend to make it so hard. Why? We feel a tendency to figure out every step in our lives, our children’s lives, spouses, friends, or whomever we love! When all God wants us to do is “Trust Him.”

My son once told me that, achieving the simple tasks are hard for me because I am so use to achieving what is difficult. Thank you son! I want to get back to a life of simple faith, and trust God for my entire world. In this world of trusting God, I have no worries, regrets, or ill-will toward humanity. Because I know, “all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord, who have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

If we who believe God would take the time to please God above all things, fear of man’s standards for you becomes mute and ineffective. But, the one who knows every intricate part of your journey, will keep you safe and protected.
