Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Where should I park? Is the church handicap accessible?
A. Our parking lot is mostly gravel though some soft spots/mud may be present due to rain. All of our entrances are handicap accessible. Parking is limited and we encourage everyone to park considering others that may be entering and exiting the lot. For ease, we suggest arriving early and parking with the front of your vehicle facing forward.
Q. Is there a dress code?
A. At Victory Mt. Bethel we want everyone to feel comfortable during the worship experience. While our members usually dress business casual or what is often considered “Sunday’s best”, we welcome everyone to dress in whatever way will allow you to feel comfortable and free. However, we do encourage everyone to bring a jacket, shawl or blanket in case it’s cold in the sanctuary.
Q. How can I be more involved?
A. Aside from joining us for service, virtually or physically, we’d encourage you to look at all the other parts of our community we’ve created and discern what additional areas you can exercise your gifts. Click here to learn more about our ministries or email us with any ideas of how to add to the community.
Q. What is the demographic of the church?
A. Our community has families of all age ranges. While our demographic is mainly African American, we encourage and welcome all who feel led to worship with us. We’re so excited for you to join us!
Q. What are ways I can give?
A. There are several ways to give financially. You can give via mail (cash, check & money order), Zelle or Cashapp.
Q. Is there something in place for kids?
A. We firmly believe in raising up a child in the way they should go. We provide service specifically for children that is separated from the main service to deliver the lessons to kids at a level they can fully understand.
Q. What kind of community work do you do?
A. We’re intentional about where and who we work with and have had the pleasure of work closely with a local school in the area, as well as other churches for larger community outreach projects like school supply and toy drives, voter registration and those experiencing homelessness.
Q. Should I bring my own Bible?
A. We always encourage everyone to bring their own physical Bible— using phone apps or kindles are permitted also. For those who’d like a physical copy, we do provide extras and encourage you to ask an usher when you enter. If you’re interested in purchasing a Bible and unsure of what type, contact us and we’ll do our best to help you!
